We’re excited to welcome Kylie Murphy to NECA Education & Careers as our new State Manager – Tasmania.
At NECA Education & Careers, we’re passionate about building a skilled, inclusive, and future-ready workforce. Across the country, we work closely with industry, government, and education providers to deliver high-quality apprenticeships and traineeships that create real opportunities—for individuals, for businesses, and for communities.
In Tasmania, we’re continuing to grow our impact by:
Kylie brings a fantastic mix of experience and energy to this role. With a background in policy, workforce strategy, and industry engagement, she’s spent her career building connections between education and employment—and turning those connections into practical outcomes.
Her leadership will help us:
“Tasmania has a proud tradition of skilled trades, and I’m excited to build on that by working with apprentices, employers, and industry partners to ensure the sector remains strong and future ready,” Kylie said. “My focus will be on practical outcomes that make a real difference for people and businesses across the state.”
Kylie steps into the role following the retirement of Gary Vidler, who has been a cornerstone of our Tasmanian team for nearly 22 years. Gary’s leadership, mentorship, and deep commitment to the industry have shaped the careers of hundreds of apprentices—many of whom are now running the businesses we proudly partner with today.
We thank Gary for everything he’s contributed and wish him all the best in retirement. And we’re thrilled to have Kylie on board as we continue to grow our presence and impact in Tasmania.
