Complete an IT Traineeship in 12-18 months and gain a nationally recognised qualification while in full-time employment and training on the job to develop the confidence to thrive in a fast-growing industry.
As your legal employer, NECA Education & Careers looks after everything, letting you focus on your new career.
We partner with a range of small, medium and large employers in the public and private sectors. Many of the smaller businesses we support offer a niche product and service, while the larger employers have many services on offer and employ trainees to perform a variety of tasks. It is common that our IT trainees placed with our larger clients get rotated through several teams to experience a range of specialties. IT trainees can work individually or as part of a larger team.
As a trainee, you will be placed with a Host Employer where you will complete your on-the-job placement for the duration of the traineeship on a full-time basis, with time allowed for you to complete your off-the-job training online.
Trainees support the IT functions of the company they join, and are vital to the productivity of the company.
Throughout the traineeship program, trainees will receive ongoing guidance and support from an Industry Careers Consultant.
This tailored mentorship will help trainees navigate the complexities of the industry, develop a strong skill set, and excel in their chosen field, setting them up for long-term success.
This program is designed to provide career opportunities to individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those living with disability.
You will learn to manage the day-to-day operations for IT systems to make sure that the system runs effectively.
Some role tasks include, but are not limited to:
